...… NCAV Board Member Appointments, Chad Shawber, Director Award &
Recognition Programs

I am pleased to announce the nomination and appointment of Chad Shawber, fulfilling the position
of Director, Award and Recognition Programs.   Chad’s nomination was presented to the entire
Board of Directors during the Sunday, July 1st, Board Meeting.

Chad Shawber has been an integral player, support and volunteer of NCAV since its inception in
September of 2006.   Chad donated materials, time and effort as one of our first medical staff to the
organization.   Chad continued to demonstrate his support by joining Cleveland’s NCA Argos Too, a
NAGVA B team and competed in Louisville, KY.   

“As we look into our organization, we continue to find individuals that exemplify the spirit of our
League,” stated NCA Vice-President/NCAV Vice-Commissioner, Doug Anderson.  “Chad clearly
understands that encouraging individuals and recognizing them for their weekly and/or session
accomplishments leads to a stronger organization. Therefore, Chad was the perfect individual to
head our Award and Recognition Programs”

Chad will be responsible for identifying programs that will acknowledge and award individual for
their achievements in NCAV.   The leadership recognizes most valuable players, most improved
players and even Living The Spirit, the Jimmy Stahlard Award.  However, NCAV will expand this
program to include intermittent recognition throughout any given session, specifically pointing out
leadership in captains, coaches and mentors.   Chad will also be responsible to facility all Award &
Recognition events, including but not limited to our three session events: Fall, Winter and Summer.

Please take an opportunity to congratulate Chad Shawber on his appointment to the NCAV
leadership team.
