... The Buzz: NCAV 2007 Summer Session Team Slot Sales Underway...
Sunday, February 4th, NCAV began taking 2007 Summer Team Slot deposits. As written in our
January 24th Headline Story "The Buzz: NCAV 2007 Summer Session, Planning Underway!, the
NCAV Board of Directors will guarantee a maximum of 18 teams, six (6) in each division, for the
Summer session. This is a requirement to demonstrate a fiduciary responsibility to the league - by
maximizing court time and supporting cross over players. However, the Board will work
aggressively to increase the league, by two (2) teams in each division, allowing all 4 courts to be
active for all three divisions during the Summer. That will force the league to cap out at 24 teams
for the summer session.
Current team captains will have first call on team slots for the Summer Session. This supports our
position of demonstrating our loyalty to the leaders/captains of our organization. We then open up
all remaining team slots to the general membership through March 24, 2007. On March 25th, we
open any remaining team slot positions to inactive and new members that would like to join NCAV.
2007 SUMMER SESSION TEAM STATUS
REMINDER:
No team slots will be sold after Wednesday, April 11th.
NCAV Board of Directors will only guarantee 18 team slots. NCAV will continue to maintain three
(3) divisions: competitive, advanced and intermediate. We will encourage the growth of each
division to eight (8) teams, rather than six (6). However, that is only a two team increase per
division.
