...… NCAV 2007 Winter Session Rostered Membership Completed and Closed
North Coast Athletics has now completed and closed our 2007 Winter Session membership drive for
rostered players. The Board of Directors extends the warmest welcome to this sessions playing
members.
In August of 2006, members overwhelmingly approved the creation of a Board of Directors and our
new name, North Coast Athletics, a GLBT and Straight Alliance organization for Greater Cleveland
and Greater Akron. The core membership in August 2006 was approximately 60 players. In the
Fall of 2006, the core membership exceeded 80 players. "As of today, January 21st, 2007, I'm
excited to report that the core membership has exceeded 120 players", reported Doug Anderson,
Vice-President and League Vice-Commissioner. "The Board, playing members, even sponsors,
have reached out to the community to involve as many people in our organization. The majority
of the credit goes to our active membership. Thank You!"
NCAV will announce our membership drive for the 2007 Summer Session this week.
NCAV is now moving on its 4th week of the Winter Session. Tri-C Metro Campus has become the
place to be on Sunday's. After all matches have concluded on Sunday, the membership moves
on to Club Argos, an alternative sports bar, located at 2032 West 25th St., Cleveland, OH 44113.
Club Argos provides free pizza and wings to NCAV members. Pictures are posted at the NCAV
Photo Gallery each week capturing images from our matches and gatherings at the club.
