RULES: Ratings and Divisions

This rating system is closely aligned to the North American Gay Volleyball Association
(NAGVA). Individuals are rated by the Commissioner and Vice Commissioner.
CROSSOVER PLAYERS
NCAV has intentionally implemented a "crossover player" strategy. Crossover players are
those players that play in multiple divisions (or pools). NCAV leadership demonstrates
support of crossover players by ensuring that divisions do not play at the same time, causing
conflicts for crossover players. NCAV leadership goes one step further, by encouraging
players to join teams at one level higher than there rating to develop even stronger skills.
We also encourage players to join teams one level lower than their rating, and become
mentors to those team's players.

our divisions are defined (or limited) by the combination of rated players on a team.
